General Summary:

QCT Camera Team in Taiwan is looking for a strong cross-functional communicator and a natural leader for a Camera System Program Management position. The ideal candidate would be able to leverage their engineering background to proactively lead a very talented engineering team through commercializing Camera IP for Mobile, IOT and AR Glass products. Better to have prior experience managing power & AR glass related programs.

Duties include the following:

  • Plan, manage and control the Plan of Record (POR) for all Camera core products by ensuring project plans are implemented on schedule, within scope and budget.

  • Act as Center of Excellence (PMO) to provide a wide range of project management support and services across the entire Camera organization.

  • Translate the organizational strategy and evolving product roadmaps into successful programs, and drive decisions necessary for program delivery by partnering with program sponsors and organizational leadership. Manage priorities based on organization/QCT strategy        

  • Roll-up and reporting regularly to senior management on key product development milestones, metrics, risks, risk mitigation plans.

  • Works closely with product management, Technology Core teams, ASIC design implementation teams, Systems, Software and other leads and program managers to ensure successful and timely delivery of a quality product.

  • Coordinate delivery of engineering products according to agreed to specifications, budget and schedule. Coordinate internal department schedules, resources etc. and develops master schedule, work plans, checklists, design reviews, and resource requirements. Primary focus will be in support of worldwide engineering design centers managing pre-silicon and functional teams activities which will include the following:

  • Will interact with multiple engineering leads to coordinate and synchronize deliverables, communications, plans of record, and schedules among internal design teams.

  • Organize and lead interdepartmental meetings, to set project milestones, define project tasks, establish program policies and processes and allocate resources.

  • May assume project assignments to/from internal departments.

  • Troubleshoot program issues and helps to develop alternative program tasks, schedules, milestones, resource plans, processes etc. to resolve program issues and conflicts.

Power Optimization & AR Glass Leadership

  • Figure out customer power requirements and translate them into actionable engineering goals.

  • Drive cross-functional power optimization activities across global teams.

  • Track power-related KPIs, identify risks, and ensure timely closure of power gaps.

  • Feature landing for AR Glass key customer projects

Customer Onsite Support

  • Facilitate communication between customer teams and internal engineering organizations to accelerate power related issue resolution and project delivery.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience

  • Experience working with OEM partners

  • Understanding of CMOS sensors and SoCs

  • Experience with multi-tasking in order to understand/facilitate/guide a variety of disciplines such as System Architecture and modeling, IC digital design, verification and implementation, SW drivers, project and product management.

  • Self-starter. Ability to manage, influence, and set direction of multi-faceted, multi-disciplined teams and programs independently with minimal supervision.

  • Track record of proven leadership, business and program management performance.

 

Travel Requirements

  • Willingness to travel internationally to support customer engagements, onsite debugging, and mass production activities.

  • Estimated travel requirement: approximately 20% annually, with increased travel during critical customer milestones, product launch preparation, and mass production support phases.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of Program Management or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
